Color Hop by Sarah of @marchlionquilts came out yesterday and I have been playing with it ever since 🎨
What I like about this quilt pattern is how simple the construction is for the result you get. Strip piecing turns into quick nine-patches, those nine-patches go into rectangular blocks, and then sashing and cornerstones pull everything together into this cheerful grid. Nothing complicated, and yet the finished quilt has so much movement.
The real fun starts with color, though. Sarah built the design around little color clusters, so wherever you put your favorite fabrics is where the eye goes, and swapping those around changes the whole quilt. I colored a few versions and could have kept going all afternoon.
