Inspiration can show up in the most unexpected places, even in the rug aisle of a furniture store 🧡
That’s where Dana of @coltandlambquiltco found the idea for Starburst Tapestry. She fell for a rug with a repeating design at both ends and a unique motif in the center, and turned it into this quilt pattern, released just a few days ago. It works as a scrappy version or as a simple four colorway design, so you can make it feel completely different.
Starburst Tapestry is a confident beginner throw, 54" x 75", made with traditional piecing using strip sets, stitch and flip, and the four at a time flying geese method, with colored step-by-step illustrations to guide you.
Take a look at how it changes from one palette to another, then color your own version on QuiltInk and grab the pattern from Dana to bring that rug-inspired look into your home 🧵
